Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I also grew up in the Noveleta Cavite then when I turned eight when to the State to settle down. My family and I are going back next Month. My parents will be sponsoring a Karakol on June 24th, 2009. I will share these pictures you have here with them. Happy Fiesta!
I was born and raised in Silang and studied and worked in Manila for over 20 years. But my hometown never fails to fascinate me. My parents home is right in the center of the town (M. H. Del Pilar St.) and I have my own house built on a 1,000 sq mtr lot in Biluso (Executive Place). I hope the town stays the way it is and not try to catch up with the other industrializing towns of Cavite. I want it as peaceful, as agricultural and as provincial as it was when we were kids. Back then, you don't need computers and playstations to entertain kids. We play games on the street - taguan, patintero, etc. I wish my kid could experience the kind of life we had in Silang when everyone knows everyone. Thanks for your blog. I've never met anyone so passionately in loved with Silang more than you do. Hope you can post other pictures that show how peaceful living in Silang is or how beautiful are the fields and other places are in Silang.
To answer Jonsvi, based on our efforts to sell our land, I found out that the lots in Silang are priced depending on the location. Those centrally located are about P10 thousand per sq meter (if beside the highway or the road, near the church, etc). Farms are cheaper and would range from P700 to P2,500 (with a view, nearer Tagaytay) per sm.

I am considering Silang as my next home sweet home. How much is it to buy a considerable piece of land in ild town Silang?
